I have my iP4 in an Incipio NGP (next generation polymer) case which I've loved for weeks. Adds minimal bulk but the material covers the sides/front nicely if dropped on the front and also completely covers the back:

Point being; I was tossing my phone over to a friend because he wanted to record himself on Chat Roulette. I was on one sofa, he was on another. I threw the phone in such a way (drunken way) that it ENTIRELY missed the sofa/person I was aiming and flew across the room towards the wall. It landed on the floor back down with a huge "THUD" with asbsolutely no protection other than the case it was in.

When I say 'landed' I mean it was THROWN across the room, even height-wise, and landed squarely quite thud-ly on the floor. It was fine, no damage to the sides, back, front, anything. I was amazed.

I don't know about NGP, but I'll hold off and wait for the Tech21 iBand with d3o technology that should be released to an online retailer near you!

(I'm not affiliated, but I'll be damned if that doesn't sound like an advertisement!)

I was drunk last night and I threw my iPhone to my girlfriend who is called Stevie Jobs from the top of the Eiffel Tower to her at the bottom and she missed the catch and the iPhone bounced back up into my hands and was undamaged.

I don't have any pics but here is a stock image of some sellotape that I used to protect it.

Hahahaha, well I'm much more sober now and I honestly wasn't trying to promote a stupid case, it was the only case available at launch that I found at AT&T that covered the back and didn't look like a toy. -_-

I guess I was just amazed my glass didn't completely shatter when it was launched across a room and landed on hardwood floors, lol.

Fortunately he did. It hadn't progressed to that stage of Chat Roulette yet.
