Phone transfer screen blackout…

So I did transfer 13pm to 14pm and it went smooth until screen blacked out.

I tried every button and button combination to get it out of black screen. Was ready to pack it up and go to Apple Store (this was release day) when I hit rite combo to get screen to come up.

Transfer was perfect with my large music library transferred perfect with artwork etc. movie library also went smooth. As did all else.

Wondering if those who experienced same blackout screen on transfer completion have had issues and what they are. I’m surprised I didn’t as I was trying to reboot/shutdown on black screen when in background phone was still setting up.

This was over a 20 minute period. Still not sure if it was my reboot combo or the actual transfer that got the reboot and normal screen again.

I had the same exact issue with going from a 13-14 PM. I did the power off key cycle. I think volume down, volume up and then hold the lock screen button. That rebooted it and it continued on downloading apps. Everything has been mostly fine since.

I had this same problem after doing a wireless transfer/setup from my iPhone 7 Plus to 14Pro, I thought it had bricked the new phone. Had to google to figure out how to force restart the 14P (vol up, then vol down, then press&hold side button) which brought it back to life. Everything working well after that
