Phone wakes itself for no reason

My battery has been dying rather quickly lately and I always chalked it up to respringing (even though I'd do it maybe once a day). Well after having my phone out on a table in front me for a while, I've noticed it would randomly light up. No notifications or messages or anything.

Any ideas why?

Me in that situation, I would definitely take it back to the Apple store ASAP. I hate dealing with buggy gadgets and you definitely want to return it while the symptoms are still evident. That is...after I've done a stock restore myself to see if it's a software issue.
