Phone won't play sounds?

I just noticed my wife's iphone 4 won't play and sounds. Phone calls, notifications, and videos won't make sounds. I checked all the settings I know to check and rebooted the phone, but no dice. Any ideas on things I can try or a setting I could be missing? I'll take it to Verizon in the morning if nothing works.

Try a restore and see if that fixes it otherwise you have a broken speaker on your hands most likely.
