Phones not connecting to 4g

My phone isn't connecting to 4g ...it will connect to my wifi...I don't have lte in my area... Anybody know what's going on ?

Seems to me if you don't have in your area it won't connect.

AT&T? Patience. Let it sit for an hour. Or reboot. Or call them. In my case, waiting an hour for the phone to fully activate worked.

This is inaccurate. No LTE means no LTE. AT&T has a 4g HSPA+ network here in Fresno. My phone reads 4G. And it does not say LTE.

Are you saying that you have no data connection at all? Have you tried going into

Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings?

I don't have a 5, but when I got my iPhone 4 I had the same issue (no 3G or E). The reset fixed it.

you might be having the same issue a number of us are - you can't connect to 3G (it's not ****ing 4G, it's HSPA+) or LTE once you've restored a previous iTunes/iCloud backup.

If so, restoring your phone to factory (or reset in iTunes) sees to fix it, but once you restore your old backup the same issue pops back up. No solution yet that I've seen.
