I'm looking for a phonetic Cyrillic keyboard/font application (specifically Ukrainian) for my Macbook. I know of a bunch of free downloads for PCs but I can't find any for a Mac. I need the ability to easily switch between typing in English and Ukrainian.

Keyboard editor

Hi,

I had the same trouble. I found a keyboard editor that solved the problem for me. I hope it works for you. The program is called Ukelele (spelled exactly that way). It allows you to drag and drop characters to create a phonetic Ukrainian keyboard for your Mac. It's very easy to do. The download is free:

It comes with a pdf instruction guide.

Good luck.
