Photo albums only partially sync

I am having problems with having my selected iPhoto albums sync with my 3G iPhone. The albums don't completely sync. I have attached a screen shot which shows the the album "5 Star Pics" has 1,000 photos according to iPhoto. However, in iTunes it only notes 693. As a result, only 693 download to my phone. No pattern as to which photos sync and which do not sync. This problem happens for both smart albums and regular albums.

I have tried renaming the album (no luck). I also erased the cache from the iPhoto directory (no luck).

Any help?
