Photo App

Anyone else having issues with the OSX Photo App. I cant find any of the pictures I recently download from my iphone and it is impossible to find pictures. I cant seem to get it to accurately sort my pictures by date.
I never had these issues with the iPhoto app. Any good tutorials on the newer Photo App? Or any better programs? Adobe Lightroom 6?

Firstly, have you opened the Sidebar? If not go View Menu>Show Sidebar.

There will be a number of Albums in the Sidebar. Your last Import will be in the Last Import Album. I've have Smart Albums to show photos imported in the Last Year and all my iPhone Photos.

I cant seem to get it to accurately sort my pictures by date.

To see your photos in date order look in "Photos", which should be at the top of the Sidebar. If you look in "All Photos", then they will be in some sort of random order.

I never had these issues with the iPhoto app.
