Photo Booth freezes in Mojave

Updated to Mojave recently. When I open Photo Booth, it just gives a spinning beach ball forever. I tried resetting SMC and deleting the preferences list & no dice.

Any idea how to fix? No other major issues on my computer generally.

It was quite slow at getting the camera going on my 27" 5K iMac. But no spinning beach ball.

Have you tried moving your photo booth library file out of the pictures folder, (to force it to create a new library) to see if that is what is causing the problem?
