Photo Critique please.

Went over to my friends house to take some pictures and out of 300, i edited 12 and i think these 2 are the best. im looking for comments and critique, be honest because im really looking to improve.

Shot with a 40D and 24-70 2.8 and 430ex and a SB-24. i dont remember the positioning because i was changing and moving it alot.

The first one would be better (in my opinion) if his right eye was visible. It's too dark now. The second one could be more dynamic, now it looks like he's posing with a stretched arm and not punching.
