Photo Crop to 16:9 query

I have a bizarre query.

I am using iCloud Library (Beta) and it is set to Optimise iPod Touch Storage.

All my photos are sync'd to iCloud. I edit/crop my photos on the iPod to 16:9. The optimised photos will be cropped but what about those HQ ones in the iCloud? Ideally I would want the higest quality cropped image I can get.

I have a feeling you edit on the iPod and this overwrites the one in iCloud.

The photo will be cropped everywhere. But all edits are non destructive. You can always remove your edit and return to the original at any time.
