Photo Editing - Can't see changes made by red eye tool

So I'm using the stock Photos app (running 8.1.2) and just noticed something. If I use the red eye tool there is no live editing. I touch the eye of the person I want to adjust the red eye on and nothing happens. When I hit done I see what happened. If I don't like the results I have to revert all the changes, including any other edits I made. This is REALLY annoying.

I guess I'm going to have to get in the habit of fixing red eye first or find a different photo editor. Anyone have any recommendations?

Edits seem to be live with mine. iPhone 6 8.1.1.

OP, post that info at Apple support as a bug report on iOS 8.1.2.
