Photo Editing

Hey,

I am an up and coming author, who is currently writing a book which is going to be published shortly.

But I need some help, I am looking for an online or downloadable free editing program which I can use to edit my photos in.

Does anyone have any ideas on photo editing online.

What kind of editing do you need to do? Just cropping / enhancing photos? Or do you need to seriously alter the pictures?

There are a few on this site, but I couldn't tell if they're good or not. But they are free. You've asked for a tall order, good and free can be hard to come by.

I second the iPhoto suggestion. Play with it first and if you need more features, then look at other options.

Gimp? Its very similar to Photoshop but Open Source.
