Photo library unavailable error in image playground?

I discovered this solution last night:
In Photos -> Settings, there's a General tab with "Library Location: yourusername > Pictures > Photos Library". Below that there are two buttons, "Show in Finder" and "Use as System Photo Library".
If "Use as System Photo Library" is not greyed out, click it and that might get Image Playground to work.
