Photo organizer on OS X?

what's a good photo organizer/uploader for a mac? i hate iphoto, it's so slow for me cause i have tens of thousands of pictures. what's a quicker alternative that accomplishes the same tasks?

I normally use Adobe lightroom which is an excellent program but since ive had elements 4 which comes with bridge i tend to use that, way better than iphoto..

I say Aperture. Either that or Lightroom. They both provide a much better workflow than iPhoto.

I like ViewIt, but don't believe it can pull images off digital cameras and such and doesn't exactly organize your images, but still worth a look to see if it can help.
