I'm very confused. I've been taking a few pics on my 4S, and I use Hipstamatic a lot. It's MUCH faster with the A5, but I notice that when I am viewing the images on my computer, my Hipstamatic shots are all 1200x1200. (YES, Hipstamatic has the 'quality' slider to max). Odd...since with the 4, max resolution was 1936x1936.
Then I opened a picture in PhotoForge 2, which is a great editor, by the way, and while the original is 3600 pixels wide, and I didn't crop off the edges, when saved (it has always saved full res in the past, and there's no setting to not do that), the resulting image is now 1980 px on the long edge.
Is the 4S restricting third party apps to lower resolution output? I'm quite confused.
