I use Photo Stream to sync my photos between iOS devices and my Mac/iPhoto. Does the new Photos for OSX app still support that?

There's all this talk about iCloud syncing and photos in the cloud and that's all well and good, but when I have MANY GIGABYTES of photos, I don't want to pay all that money to have EVERY photo I take ALWAYS available. It's not worth it to me...
