Photo Stream turned off still uploading photos to iCloud

Hello.

I am sure this is going to be a simple fix!

I use iCloud Photo Library to sync my Photos across my 2 devices.

However I take a lot of screen shots from my iPhone which get saved in my camera roll and than automatically go into my iCloud Photos library. I do not have photo stream turned on but am I missing something?

I am using El Captain

iCloud Photo Library syncs all photos on all devices, including screen shots.

Photo Stream only syncs the last 30 days worth of photos on all devices, including screen shots.

I don't know of a way to exclude screen shots on either method.
