Photo stream??

I had lots of pictures and videos on my ipad2 and just updated to iOS5.
Now how do i add all my existing videos and photos from ipad2 to photo stream? At present only the new ones show up in photo stream (in my case only one photo shows up on ipad which is taken from my iphone4S)

it's not retroactive. only new pictures after photostream go in there, plus it's only ones in the camera roll on the iDevice, or imported from a mac or PC.

Also it's photos only, not video, thus why it's called Photo Stream
