I am going on a trip next month. I have loaded about 40 films onto a 32GB SD card, with a camera file hierarchy. Using the iPad Camera Connection Kit I am able to trick the iPad into thinking I am importing a video shot on the camera and watch my films as I travel without taking up space on my iPad. It all works great, except for the Photos app.

The imported videos exist in the Photos application, which is fine, except that the Photos app has a horrible playback interface and automatically crops to fill the screen. I cannot find a way to move them to the Movies app or any other app that allows me to play them back with a little more control (main problem is that Photos crops 2.35 to 4:3).

Does anyone know of an app that allows video playback, that can access the Photos folder?

Thanks!

Many, e.g. nPlayer.

However, you REALLY should jailbreak for the best results - full, direct access to the card from any AppStore player.
