I was playing around with adding new wallpapers and the featured photos are really impressive. I have a huge (huge) photo library and it picked some really great “features” pictures. As a bonus, if you choose to customize the Home Screen, it offers solid color options based on samples from the photo itself and the result is a smooth transition from Lock Screen to Home Screen.

I still don’t understand what those „circles“ are supposed to do? For instance, I pick a picture of my dog and then it suggests me two yellow circles (blue in your case) but when I tap on either one of them, it just replaces my dog with a yellow background as a wallpaper?

Right, the lock screen is still the picture, but the home screen is solid (which matches my lock screen) which I prefer as I don’t like busy home screens.

Personally I just use the legibility blur, which I think is an even smoother transition from lock to home. Still, your earlier point stands. They are doing some magic with the photo and color suggestions
