Hi,

When I use the Page 1 effects in Photobooth, there is extreme lag in the image. I am using an Apple Macbook Pro 2.0GHz with 2GB RAM and 256MB ATI X1600 video card, so I think my computer should be good enough to run the effects at full speed (without lag). This is on a CLEAN install of Apple Mac OS X 10.4.6 and the CPU usage was around 60% while running Photobooth. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this. Thanks.

No lag here either. MBP 2.0,1g ram. I've yet to see my CPU go above 45%. And I constantly have several programs open at the same time. I've taken several photos using PB, without any lag.

Is it smooth using the Page 1 Effects? Because mine is smooth (and also low CPU usage) with no effects and using the Page 2 effects. I think I am experiencing the same problem as these people from the MacNN Forums. http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.php?t=296839&photobooth Thanks.

2.0 Ghz MB, 1.25GB RAM.

Hmmm... No lag what so ever. Page 1, page 2 effects and without any effect; all seem to be the same. All real time. And I m also using low cpu usage as the MB is running on battery right now.

Did you mean Macbook Pro or Macbook? Because I don't think this issue affects the Macbook; only Macbook Pro and Intel iMac. Also, I have tried deleting the preferences file and I have also tried it in another fresh account. Any other experiences would be greatly appreciated (make sure you go to the Page 1 effects). Thanks.

Yes I meant MackBook only. I gave the info only to make the point that MBP should be more than enough to handle such effects as even the MB can do it without any problems. But I didnt know that this a MBP/iMac only problem. Thsi might have to do with the the ATI GPU as that is the only common thing in those to macs which is not present in MB. Some driver(or whatever they are known as in OSX) issues may be.
