Not sure which forum this belongs in!

I am running El Capitan 10.11.2 beta, and have an iPhone 6 running iOS 9.1.

When I connect the iPhone, Photos opens and switches to the Import tab - but shows no photos to import. When I open Image Capture, it shows the phone is connected, but there are no photos to import.

I have iCloud photo library on on my Mac, but turned off on my phone. I want to manually important photos from it.

Any idea what could be wrong?

I am having this exact problem! AGHH! So frustrating... Currently, I have almost 33,000 photos on my phone, and I want to manually pull them off through image caputre/photos app. But every time I connect my phone it shows it as being "connected" but doesn't display any photos!?

Have you figured this out yet? Any tips would be great. EEK! :D xo
