Hope you guys are all well 😃

What's the best way to import and date albums in the app? What date formate should I use for the albums?

Currently, I'm importing everything I have from the last import / selecting the photos / file - create album / then dating using "EVENT - 13 October 2024".

The problem is, if I need to add some photos to existing albums, it takes such searching as there's no logical structure to how the existing albums are ordered. And if I painstakingly move often used albums to the top, the next time I go to the app, they've moved randomly.

Also, is there any way to move the Imported action to the top of the page again? Currently it's at the bottom.

I don't see a way to drag that Imports thing to the top.

Here is what I do.

Make a smart album using the above settings.

Then drag that to the top.

Now when you click that smart album it will show all your photos that have not yet been placed in an album. From there you can drag and drop them into existing albums. Or group select and make new albums.

Thanks Weaselboy. That's helpful.

And to pester you a bit more -

* is there a way to pin certain albums to the top?

* what's the best format to use for dates? I have thought any album that's not dated would auto at the top of the list of albums.

There is no way to pin albums to the top.

If you click the view menu there is a sort option there that lets you choose. It seems to go by the date the album was created.

That's such a shame. A minor positive and addition on so many other similar apps.

If I date the albums I want at the top in a specific way, could they then remain at the top?

Thanks mate. I'll do a trial and error session on the weekend as I've now uploaded all my photos. Next time I won't leave it as long to save a tortuous process. (I do though say this everytime!!!)
