Photos app always opens to SD card import even if no card inserted

Yah, the title really nails the problem. Every time I open the Photos app, it opens to the SD card import screen even though there is no card in the slot.

Just a blank screen where the photos on the card normally appear.

I have restarted the app many times and restarted the laptop to no avail.

Always boots the the import screen.

Any ideas?

Secondarily, even tho I check the box the delete after import, it has stopped doing that. The photos are always left on the card.

Any ideas?

Move on to other app such as: Lightroom, Capture 1 Pro, Photo RAW, Luminar,......etc.
