Hi all:
I typically only display my photos on a screen - computer or tv through apple tv, and thus shoot most photos with my iPhone now. I still do quite a few underwater photos with a dedicated camera. I take hundreds of photos and show dozens, so I like the album feature.
#1 - is it possible to move a photo that is cropped and enhanced from my work mac to my own mac such that the file size does not explode and the edits can be undone?
#2 - I noticed that photos on my work mac automatically show up on my own mac through iCloud! However, every photo has its own directory rather than a similar native directory structure - yikes!!! anyway to make them the same?
#3 - I don't really understand the directory structure 2016 (year), 12 (month), ??? (one would think day) but it seems to be ascending and random i.e. photos are not all from the same day in the directory and not necessarily the day they were taken - is it the day they were uploaded? I typically copy (drag and drop) my work mac photos directories to my time capsule for storage which is why I like to understand the structure.
#4 - can I just transfer an album of photos (modified with undo) to my own mac?
#5 - why are many of my iPhone photos out of order in Photos?
#6 - is there a similar app to Photos that can be owned (and thus controlled)? I love the "on-screen" organization, the touch up tools, the simplicity. A couple of tools that I would like is the ability to tilt vertical and horizontally to correct for camera alignment and the ability to "stitch" several photos together without the distortion of the panorama mode. I am not a pro and do not want to take it to the Adobe Photoshop level of complexity.
Thanks
