Photos app messed up iPhone albums

is it just me or is the new photos app on Mac a horrible alternative to iPhoto? Now, when I sync, my albums section on my iPhone is messed up – I have two Videos albums (one saying 'From my mac'), two Panorama albums (ditto), and a huge mass of split up iPhoto events... any way to fix this or is everyone else having this problem too?

I'm having the exact same problem. And it's extra weird because the two panorama albums each contain a different number of photos, 17 from my Mac and another with 21. The Photos app on my Mac only has 1 panorama album, the one with 17.

Is there an independent app that just displays photos the photos you want it to? The Apple way in this case is horrible and I don't like any of it.
