I'm currently on the new iOS 17.0.1 but it was like this even on 16.x

I'm try to sort my photos from newest (top) to the oldest (bottom) and this suggested "Sort" feature is missing.
Any suggestions will be welcomed.

See my attached screenshot, showing me inside of the Album called Recents and after tapping the "More Icon (...) this is what i see.

I think that photos are automatically sorted according to their metadata, that is bottom to top in Recent you see the photos recently added; if you leave that album and select Library/All Photos you see all images listed chronologically bottom to top according to meta data. AFAIK there is no way to change the sorting direction neither there is a filter option.
