Photos app on iMac

Does anyone know where the new photos app keeps the photos. I can't seem to find the photos that are in the photo app using finder.

Okay

In the Photos library, which is a special directory.

It's possible to see inside, but it's more than just a bunch of folders and screwing with it will mess with your Photos library.

Works the same way iPhoto did.

They're contained within the 'Photos Library' package which is by default in the Pictures folder of your user file.
To locate the files right click it, show package contents and they're all in a folder called 'Masters' organised by date.
