Hi, I have both iCloud Photo Library and Photostream turned on, do I need them both on to use the photo library properly? And if I turn off photo stream, do I lose anything?
 
iCloud Photo Library replaces Photo Stream so you don't need it on. You can also use the new Photos app completely offline with both iCloud features turned off if you want, they're not required.
