Photos app stopped working

The photos app on my Apple Watch stopped working. I am unable to change the album, and can't really do anything with it now. It has a spinning icon at the bottom of the screen. I have tried restarting both my iPhone and Watch.

I've attached a screenshot of the spinning icon.

I can't think of anything special to try other than creating another photo album and putting one picture in it and changing to that folder to see if it updates. If that works, switch back and see if it works now. If not, it "could" be a picture in the folder causing the problem. Just some thoughts since you rebooted both already.

I tried that already, no luck.
