How do you zoom in and out of a picture in the photos app? Is this possible?
 
Sit closer to the television?

Seriously though, don't think you can... obviously you can open the thumbnails, but beyond that. Would be a cool feature to add to the touch control, in the same way you can zoom on a Mac trackpad.
