Photos are downscale when sync MAC->iPhone 6

I have the feeling that when I sync my iPhotos library with my iPhone using iTunes there are downscaled on my iPhone. If I later want to send a picture using my iPhone to someone I would prefer to keep the original quality especially when they have been taken with this iPhone.
