Photos Are Sometimes Revolved When I Email Them

iPhone photos that look right on my phone and in Preview sometimes email 90 degrees off. Opening in Graphicconverter reveals the rotation problem.

Is there any rock solid way to ensure correctly rotated photos as email attachments?
