iPad Pro Photos cannot be deleted

I have about 250 photos on my iPad that I used in a slideshow when a friend got married. Now I want to delete them, but I cannot put them in the trash. If I select one or several, the trash can is grayed out. I can’t figure out what it is about these pictures that the device won’t allow me to delete them.

If the photos came from elsewhere, like your computer, you won't be able to delete them on the iPad. You'll need to connect your iPad to your computer, delete from there, then sync with your iPad which should then delete them.
