photos delete from album and all photos

Hi, I searched but cant find the answer to my question! Im new to macos just got my first macbook! I’m sorting out my pictures and noticed when I press delete the photo gets removed from the album but is still in “all photos”. On iOS it gives you the option “remove from album” and “delete”. Is it possible on the mac when I press delete that the photo in an album gets deleted completely from the mac? Thx

command-delete will remove it completely.
