I've upgraded to Photos on my Mac, but not to iCloud Photo Library yet, as I would need more than the free amount of storage so want to be sure before doing that and waiting for a big upload.

On my mac I like the organisation in Photos better than it was in iPhoto. I have a hierarchy of albums, with folders for Travel, Music and Wildlife, and albums within those with photos in.

I am syncing these photos, to my iPhone through iTunes, but it loses that folder hierarchy and I just get a flat structure of the albums within those top level folders.

Can anyone confirm if this is still the case if i switch to iCloud Photo Library and sync via that method?

A second issue...

In the Mac Photos app, if I search, it looks at everything (I think), faces, album names, filenames, locations etc. The same search in iOS Photos seems to only search album names and locations
