Photos from iPhone to MacOS

Can someone please tell me the easiest way to transfer photos from my iPhone to my my MacBook Air WITHOUT using the Photos app in MacOS or iCloud? I just want to drop them into a file folder.

Can someone please tell me the easiest way to transfer photos from my iPhone to my my MacBook Air WITHOUT using the Photos app in MacOS or iCloud? I just want to drop them into a file folder.

I use airdrop, puts them into the download folder and from there I move them into the folders I want them in.
Works reliable and surprisingly fast.
I use Lightroom…
