Hi, I have an iPad (on iOS 17.2) that I would like to clear out of all photos in the Photos app, without affecting my photos on iCloud.
So in Settings/iCloud/Photos, I turned off "Sync this iPad" and "Shared Albums". I got a message asking me whether I wanted to download everything form iCloud to my iPad, or delete what's on my iPad - I selected deleted. I even then did a restart.
But now, even though it's disconnected from iCloud, I still have all the same number of photos and videos. Why didn't they delete?
Now, should I delete them all if I want an empty Photos app on this iPad? And if I do, and I later resent the iPad to iCloud, will it download everything fresh, or will it delete everything in iCloud?
EDIT: Please disregard, it appears it's deleting them all now - I just had to give it a little time to get started!
If you have any more tips about all this let me know, otherwise I think I am in good shape! Thank you.
Thanks!
