Photos in Automator or Other

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to add a Time Stamp to a photo (so it shows the date and time at the bottom of the photo) in Automator or Apple Script (or if you know of another way to do it). I noticed some paid applications for it, but I'm looking for a free way. Being able to do it as a batch (like Automator) would be helpful, because I want to do it with 300+ photos. Thanks!
