Photos in camera roll can't detected on Windows 7 OS computer

Hello, I have this issue with saving the photos from my iPhone 3GS to my laptop computer with windows 7.
I saw alot of msg talking about this but, altho i can detect my phone through My Computer --> iphone --> DCIM folder but the folder was empty altho i have hundres of picture in my camera roll.

not sure how to fix this and get those picture to my laptop.
Can anyone help?
