Photos in Catalina error

I bought a refurbished iMac 2019, 512ssd running Catalina 10.15.2 and had an error when importing photos.

I used a thumb drive to copy and paste a number of iphotos from my iMac running Yosemite.

On two occasions when importing in excess of 300 pictures, Photos app quit with an error message part way during the process. The error message was sent to Apple. I was given the option to reopen Photos and imported the rest of the photos successfully. On other occasions over 400 pictures were imported with no problem.

All 11,000+ photos and videos have now been imported.



What would cause the error and would it be a Photo app problem versus hardware? Should I contact Apple to see what they say? I added part of the error code.
