Photos in IPhoto gone!

Hi,

I have the 17inch Imac Intel core duo (Tiger) with the airport extreme base station. I recently had trouble connecting to the internet using the airport, but that problem was fixed by reseting the base station.

I noticed that all my photos have disappeared from my iphoto library....can anyone help on how i can retrieve them. Thanks!

Did you do anything crazy like rename your home folder? Is iTunes okay?

When you launch iPhoto, hold down the option key - then when it asks you to select a Library select /Users/<yourusername>/Pictures/iPhoto Library

Itunes is fine. I did notice that when i reset the base station, it has a new name. It was apple network (with a bunch of numbers) and now it's Rob's Home Computer. Could that have something to do with it?

Have no idea. Did you try to browse to your library?

Spotlight for iPhoto Library and check your Trash.

Do you see anything? Does iPhoto tell you that there is no library?

I open iphoto and it prompts me to start a new library. As if i just got the computer and haven't loaded any photos on it yet.

This means your library was moved or deleted. You can use spotlight to see if you accidently moved it (or accidently renamed your home folder), and if you deleted it - well, you might want to invest in some file recovery software such as FileSalvage.
