Photos Nightmare

Well, finally got my new and first macbook which is the 2015 which has the ports i cant do without...Well, syncing my photos is a nightmare compared to windows...i have to have two sets of photos organized the way i chose which is folders.. I import the photos then place them into my folders of choice then transfer those to the photo albums that i created the same name as my folders...My question is this the photos on or in photos app how can i transfer if need be to a hard drive? Second how can i get the photos i import to the specific album i chose them to go to without having to have two sets

How did you sync your photos in Windows?

What do you mean by two copies? If you are using photos to import and then sort to folders in Finder, may as well use Image Capture to import them instead and save yourself disk space and time..

If you are wanting to backup the Photos.app library... the file you would want to copy should be at ~/Pictures... usually ends in .photoslibrary.

I use image capture and then manually sort my photos into folders using finder of late.. i find it less stressing.. and more similar to how I sorted photos in Windows using Windows Explorer and the Photo import wizard. https://support.apple.com/kb/PH17894?locale=en_US
