There's a gap between the aluminum and glass on the back?! Hello dust/dirt/grime entering the phone. My OCD is going to have a field day.

If this is it which I hope it's not then this should have been last years iPhone. Slightly larger screen, NFC, LTE and possible quad core processor? Hasn't the competition been doing this for a few years now?

This is the definition of "meh".

Especially since we've seen this before. Twice before. (4, and 4S).

Considering this will likely be the design for the next two years, I hope these leaks are misdirections from Apple.

I don't understand what kind of redesign you guys are asking for? I don't want a cheap looking plastic phone like the GSIII. I want something with great build quality. The 4 and 4s look SO much different from other phones that I wouldn't be surprised if this is close to the real design. We won't know until the announcement so cool all negative comments. We don't even know what's under the hood yet.

A radical new hardware and software redesign. Who says it has to be cheap in order to be different? The days of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" attitude is over. If you can't offer something new and different then don't release anything. If this is the new iPhone (which I hope it's not) then Apple has begun to plateau in innovation and vision.

The most innovative tech company in the world... not demonstrating any innovation in these supposed designs. Except for maybe the new pin.

Basically looks the same as a bunch of the renders we have already seen. I don't like the form factor. It's going to boil down to features, for me, assuming this is the real deal. Being that iOS6 is essentially built to run on a three year old device (3GS) I am not really expecting any huge leaps in performance, regardless of what is under the hood.

I'll be honest, the 3D renders looked a lot sexier than the "real" one. As someone else pointed out, there seems to be a gap (or uneven level) between the aluminum and glass parts of the back -- but this may be because it was assembled by iLab and not Apple's official partners. If, however, that gap exists in the real version also, the days of Apple perfection will have ended and would be time to sell my AAPL.

But I don't hate this design. The two-tone design on the back will take some time getting used to, but based on these leaked renderings, I still think the iPhone 4/4S design is much better than this. But that's just my opinion. And I'll still be buying this one.

And that small hole between the cameral lens and the flash is back. I'm intrigued as to what that could be.

I can't see Apple making the iPhone a few inches taller and putting in a new dock connector..... I really hope these are plants and Tim shocks us in September.
