Photos on iCloud deleted on my Iphone

I recently enabled iCloud on photos for the first time on my account.


After a day I realised I preferred having the full quality on my phone rather than optimized so I changed the setting to 'Download and Keep originals'


It said that there wasnt enough storage for this and it would delete the photos from my phone but keep them on icloud.


After reading some suggestions I went through with this, as was told the photos would begin re-appearing on my phone. (Around 1,000 in total)


I have 15GB free memory on my phone so storage space isnt a problem. (only 4GB of photos on my Icloud)


I just want my photos back on my phone.


Any help appreciated.
