After upgrading to OS 14 - While all my pictures are still in visible in the photo app: 1) When I click on "People" in the sidebar I get a blank screen - all the sorted photos by people are gone. 2) All the Albums I had created have disappeared. I tried reloading photos from a TimeMachine backup, but experienced the same phenomenon. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a solution?

What do you see on iCloud.com? If your albums exist there you could download a fresh copy of your iCPL.

I have had this problem but not for a few years. In my case iCloud.com had also lost the albums. You could try restoring from TM from an earlier backup, before the problem happened, or from a different back up like CCC if you have one.
