I synced 5,000+ photos by mistake to an iPad running iOS 9.2. I would like to permanently delete these photos. They are in 'Recently Deleted'. I can select all the photos but the trashcan is greyed out. I read one article if you bump the date forward it would auto delete them. I bumped the date forward about 3 months on the iPad and the photos are still there.

How did you sync them over? iTunes or iCloud?
