Photos - Shared photostream missing photos

So I've got a shared photostream that has a couple hundred photos. I see them all when I look at it on my iPhone, but when I look in OSX Photos, I only see one photo. I see them all on the web on iCloud.com, but not on my Mac. Should I expect that these will eventually appear, or is this a common problem?
