Upgraded to Monterey yesterday and I don't see "Shared with you" in the sidebar of the photos app. Is there something I'm missing? The feature is turned on and it's working in News and Safari. I just don't see it in photos. I've had plenty of photos shared with me via messages so I would think I would see something. Tried restarting photos multiple times and nothing.

Any ideas?

It is so disappointing, I've be holding off updating my Macs until things settle. I guess it should work like it does on the iPadOS 15. I updated my iOS while on vacation, what a mistake. I lost photos on my iPad Pro and don't want the similar on MacOS from what I read on Apple's community.

Since a web search for how to fix the missing 'Shared with You' folder brought me to this old thread, I figured I'd provide the solution that worked for me on macOS Sequoia.

It's actually in the Messages app settings. There's a tab there for 'Shared with You', and I had to turn on automatic sharing, then the 'Shared with You' folder appeared in Photos. I think this is enabled by default in older versions of macOS, because I don't remember having to make this change before.
